Default w/mo easy troll and totem axe farming

We all know these farms. The ettins with their runes, and the totem axe- the "caster axe". Well for a long time, i have used the below build to farm both of these.
Skills/Stats/Weapons:

Eviscerate (or dismember, works fine)
Executioners chop
Disrupting chop (for heal sig)
Healing signet
Doylak signet
Mending
Sprint
Flurry
(for ettin farming, you can use flail- i dont have nightfall so i use flurry)

For my armour i use:
Glads top (for energy)
Dragon Bottom (looks cool)
Sup axe with axe helm.
Major Vigor.
Sup absorb.
Minor tactics.
Either minor strength or vitae rune. (im using vitae)
High axe mastery is fine, but whatever you can afford on all the runes, just make sure you have max armour.

First ettin farming:
The path:
First, leave from Beetledun, and head east. Basically, just kill everything in your way. Take off mending before you go after the avica, the shatter will hurt. Once you get to the ettins, heal up, put on mending, and pull. Get a few of them and put on doylak which will soak up most of the damage. Flurry (or flail) to full adren. wait for the first ettin to use heal sig, then interrupt it and use eviscerate/ exe chop, and kill it the rest of the way. Rinse and repeat for all the ettins. You can go into Noth Kryta Province, and with "the last hog" quest active, you can get even more ettins. Just start herding piggy, and wait for the ettins to come to you.

Now for totem axes.
I use the same exact equiptment for this run, just make sure you use flurry and not flail because enemies kite here. To get there, leave from Ventaries Refuge, running through ettins back, reed bod, and the falls. If you cant make it through here, map it out with henchies. Heres the general path:
To get into the upper part of the falls is a little tricky. Once you see trolls, there should be two paths. take the lower path under the tree root, and keep going until u see a collector. follow the left wall until you see a path upwards. Run past the trolls until you see the scales. These are annoying, but you can kill them easily and you should or they will mess you up later. Watch out for the disease they cast, their enchantment removal, and their defile flesh (which reduces your healing) and the bosses life siphon. But after you kill these guys, you get to the fun part. Once you see a behemoth (they drop the axes) run up to it. 2-3 life pods will spring out of the ground and you should kill these or the behemoth will be deadly. To kill these, try to pull one of them away and spike its little seedy ass. their retribution can take a chunk out of your health, so heal whenever you get under 300 hp. If you cant kill one quick enough, switch to another one- they alll have different skills. one is the bonder- He uses retribution only. The next is the protector- uses mend condition, getting rid of evicerates deep wound. the last is the healer, using orison and heal other. if there is only 2, there will be a bonder and a prot/ heal in one. kill the prot first and it will be easy. Last, you get to kill the behemoth. doylak when you get up there, and just hammer away. he drops easy without his monks. For the mesmers, i suggest just run by. they will interrupt you heal sig, shatter your mending, and degen you so just dont bother. I usually get about one axe per run.

If you cant find the shield that im using u can use any stance or enchanted shield- i used a collectors stance shield from outside rancor for a long time. any axe will do also, as long as its not vamp or zealous.

Pm me ingame:
Lahldonicus Nenth (warrior)
Scorpian Judo (monk)

HAPPY FARMING!

I prefer to keep my axe uncustomised, incase i ever want to sell it. but why is it horrible? it works for me, and i have gotten what i went for on thsese runs- totem axe and runes.

Ya I usually dont customize, incase I know I'm going to sell it, usually not customizing a scythe for example you loose up to 10-15 extra dmg.

Ok i got another update. I was trying to solo the wind riders witht this build to try to get the fan, and i can kill them. you just have to get a hexed shield and use hit and run tactics.
